| AFP and our members have taken off the Gloves! We are fighting fire with fire. We have filed an Amicus Brief on the school finance legislation citing fraud, waste and abuse in the public school system. We have filed a lawsuit against public entities lobbying with taxpayer dollars to get more of our dollars. We are asking for Ethics opinions and Attorney General Opinions. One of our members has filed a first amendment lawsuit citing Texas Association of School Boards Policies for disallowing school employees the right to speak at open school board meetings. | Americans For Prosperity Texas Announces the 2006 Taxpayer Summit Friday, April 21, 2006 Stephen F. Austin Hotel * Austin, Texas Citizen leaders from across the state will be coming to Austin to attend the AFP Texas Taxpayer Summit. Discussions will include Taxpayer Funded Lobbying and the Taxpayer Bill of Rights. Break out sessions taught by AFP Citizen Watchdogs will provide citizen leaders with tools needed to hold government spending in check. Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet with Legislators and issue leaders. The agenda is designed to be informative and interesting but our members always tell us that one of the best aspects of our meetings is the opportunity to network with others and share experiences and ideas.
